GEO Bee 2025/2026

Geography Bee (GEO Bee)
Although the official National Geographic Bee was discontinued in 2021, Carmel Middle School continues to honor this tradition through our annual GEO Bee in the Library.
The GEO Bee is a fun, schoolwide geography competition that challenges students’ knowledge of the world. Participants answer questions about countries, capitals, landmarks, cultures, and physical features of the Earth. Students first compete in classroom or grade-level rounds, and top scorers advance to the final stage in front of their peers.
The event is designed to:
-
Spark curiosity about world cultures and geography
-
Encourage critical thinking and quick recall
-
Celebrate students who have a passion for learning about the world
While the national competition no longer exists, our school continues to host the GEO Bee as a way to celebrate global awareness, student achievement, and a love of learning.
